Top Load Washer - Automatic Bleach Dispenser

Select GE and Hotpoint Top Load Washer models feature an Automatic Bleach Dispenser. Just add undiluted bleach when you load the washer and walk away. The bleach is diluted properly before being added to the wash load during the fill cycle so it is safe and easy to use.

How it Works:

  1. When you add the bleach it is directed down a spout or funnel between the inner basket where the clothes are and the outer tub that holds the water.

  2. As the washer fills for the wash cycle, the bleach is diluted to a safe level before the water level reaches the inner basket so undiluted bleach never touches your clothes.

Important Things to Note:

  • Only add enough bleach for the current wash cycle. There is no limit on the amount of bleach you can add, so be sure to follow the bleach manufacturer's recommendation for the appropriate amount to use.

  • The dispenser is specifically designed for liquid chlorine bleach. The use of other liquids in it will not necessarily cause any damage to the machine but powder additives should never be used in the Automatic Bleach Dispenser.

  • Powdered bleach and powdered bleach alternative should be poured directly into the wash basket.

  • If your washer model does not come with an Automatic Bleach Dispenser, dilute the bleach with water before adding it to the washer. It is never recommended to pour bleach directly on fabric or clothing as this could result in discoloration of the fabric.
