Most washers feature a Delicates wash cycle. This wash cycle has been offered on washers for many decades.

Understanding the Use of the Delicates Wash Cycle

Prior To 2015

The Delicates cycle allowed "special care" items to be washed delicately. For lingerie and fabrics requiring special care, this cycle has a gentle wash and a slow spin.

Starting In 2015

On washer models that feature a more basic, mechanical control, the Delicates cycle has an unique "Tri-pulse", extra gentle agitation which includes periods of soak to provide special care to delicate fabrics. The spin is normal speed; however, it should not damage delicate fabrics.

On washer models that feature a more sophisticated electronic control, the Delicates cycle offers the use of many options. This includes choices in the wash time and the spin speed.
