Dishwasher Porcelain Enamel Interior

At one time, some dishwasher tubs and doors were formed from sturdy steel and protected by a durable double-fired porcelain enamel interior finish. Current models have tubas and inner doors that are: Stainless, PermaTuff (plastic), or Hybrid (stainless inner door and plastic tub).

Great care was exercised in applying the porcelain enamel, with two porcelain applications-each fired at 1550 degrees to provide a durable, smooth, white finish that resists the effects of hot water, strong detergents, and food acids. Its hard surface is abrasion, scratch, and stain-resistant.
