Dryer - Leveling
It is important to level your dryer. Leveling the dryer prevents the dryer from vibrating when in use. The two anti-tip legs at the front inner corners of a Top Load style dryer need to be touching the floor to avoid a tip over. All of the dryer legs are adjustable about 1 inch.
To level the dryer:
-
Place a level on top of the dryer pointing side to side.
-
Adjust the leveling legs until the dryer is level.
-
Place the level on top of the dryer pointing front to back.
-
Adjust the leveling legs again, if necessary, to level.
When leveling a gas or electric Top Load style dryer, adjust the two anti-tip legs at the front inner corners, taking care that they are touching the floor to avoid a tip over.
Note: Some older model gas dryers had the six legs for leveling. The extra two legs served as an anti-tip device.
