Washer - Permanent Press Cycle

The Permanent Press cycle used to be a very common wash cycle on washing machines. Nowadays, you typically see cycles such as Normal, Colors or Cold instead of Permanent Press.

Understanding the Use of the Permanent Press Cycle on a Washer

The Permanent Press cycle prevents wrinkles from "setting in." This cycle is designed exclusively for synthetic and delicate fabrics, excluding polyester knits. A longer cool down spray rinse of 45 seconds helps minimize wrinkles. This cycle will launder permanent press fabrics more effectively with less chance of wrinkles than our dual purpose Polyester Knit/Permanent Press cycle. The Permanent Press cycle uses a normal wash speed and a normal spin speed.

Note: Some models offer the option to change the wash and spin speeds. See the Owner's Manual for the specific model you own for more information.
