Refrigerator - Accessory In-Line Water Filter

In-line accessory water filters attach to the water supply line to your refrigerator to brings better tasting water and ice to your home by reducing chlorine taste and odor and sediment. They easily attach directly to the existing refrigerator/icemaker water line in GE Appliances side-by-side and top-freezer refrigerators without an existing built-in filter.

 

• There is little, if any, benefit to installing an In-Line water filter on a refrigerator that has an internal filtration system. If there is extremely dirty water (full of rust or other sediment), it may help to prolong the life of their refrigerator filter and some of the components in the refrigerator itself, but for the most part the refrigerator filter will be doing all the work and will remove more contaminants. It is best to just replace the refrigerator filter on schedule.
