Cordless Gas Range
Cordless gas ranges may also be referred to as battery-operated ignition gas ranges. Available in our Hotpoint ranges, model: RGBS200DMWW
Cordless ignition is:
- Standing pilot replaced by electronic spark igniter
- The spark igniter lights surface burners and oven burner
- Gas is used only when surface burners or oven is turned “ON”
How it operates: A 9 volt battery supplies the power to the electronic igniters. Depending on the use of the range the battery is estimated to last 3 years. If the battery goes out, you can manually light the oven if necessary; however, you should replace the battery as soon as possible.
Battery location:
- In a compartment on the front of the range behind the broiler door.
- See use and care manual for details on using burners, oven and battery replacement.
