Refrigerator - Control Display Sleep Mode

When using the control panel on a refrigerator, the available options and settings are illuminated. However, they do not remain constantly illuminated at all times. As an example, the fresh food and freezer temperatures are shown when you set the temperature. However, they do not remain displayed all the time.

Waking Up the Control Display on a Refrigerator

Basic selections such as water or ice will remain in the control display. Most additional settings go to sleep after a short period of time.

The refrigerator controls will go to sleep and turn-off/fade after a certain period of non-use.

  • External controls typically “wake-up” when the control is touched.
  • Internal controls typically “wake-up” when the fresh food door is open.
