Refrigerator - Dual Icemaker Included or Optional

Select GE and Profile branded French-Door refrigerators either offer dual icemakers or a second icemaker option. One icemaker is located in the fresh food section while the second icemaker (included or optional) is located in the freezer.

• For Dual Icemaker models, the second icemaker is included. Look for "Dual Ice" or "Dual Icemaker" in the product features. Dual Icemaker models were manufactured before April of 2016.

• For models without "Dual Ice", look for "Optional 2nd Icemaker" in the product features. "Optional 2nd Icemaker" models replaced Dual Icemaker models in April of 2016.

• Café refrigerators and models with a Keurig K-Cup Dispenser or Hot Water Dispenser do not have a second icemaker included or as an option.

• Dual Icemaker and second icemaker models do not require an additional water line and both receive filtered water on models with a filtration system.

The IM5D icemaker kit will be required to add a second icemaker to "Optional 2nd Icemaker" models. This is a dealer-item only, and should be ordered at the same time as the refrigerator purchase.

 

The Space Saving icemaker is located in the fresh food section, on the left fresh food door. By moving the icemaker to the door, it is no longer taking up valuable space within the refrigerator compartment. Space Saving Ice also features:

• Three integrated bins attached to the Space Saving icemaker for more storage space. The top and bottom integrated bin are large enough to store soda cans while condiments can be stored in all three integrated bins.

• The icemaker is easy to access, convenient and holds 3.8 pounds of ice.

Having a second icemaker in the freezer ensures there is plenty of extra ice. Combined, the Space Saving Ice and freezer icemaker can store up to 11 pounds of ice once the ice bins are full.
