Range & Wall Oven - Normal Gap Across Oven Door Top

When looking at the top of the closed oven door, there is a gap between the door and the oven.

Understanding the Gap at the Top of the Oven Door

  • This is normal and should be even across the top.
  • The door gasket seals the opening to the oven.
  • This gap is not a reflection on how well the oven is sealing.
  • A wider gap at top versus bottom near the hinges is normal. This gap will equalize as the oven gasket takes a set after a few weeks of use. A self-clean cycle will accelerate the set.
  • If there is a difference in this door gap when comparing one side of the door to the other after a few weeks of use, service should be scheduled.
