Monogram Noise Built-In Refrigerator or Freezer Only
Gurgling sounds can be affected by food load in the unit. The greater the food load the less transfer of cold air for warm air when the door is opened.
-
When there is zero food load, almost 90% of the cold air is replaced when the freezer door is open for longer than 10 seconds.
-
The cold air is replaced by warm air, and a vacuum back seal is created until the pressure is normalized.
Having a food load in the unit greatly reduces the intensity of the exchange of the cold air and thus the amount of air sucked through the drain tube causing the gurgling sound.
