Dishwasher Definition of Stainless Steel Tub

Many dishwashers have a stainless steel tub. Our stainless steel tubs incorporate both 304 and 430 grade stainless.

• Top and bottom of the tub are made of 304
• The center of the tub is made of 430.

 

This stainless steel tub resists stains and corrosion. It is durable and the smooth surface is easy to clean. The tub has an annealed (the process of heating stainless steel) finish for a brighter, reflective and upscale appearance. Along with the upscale appearance, the stainless steel tub uses bitumen (a more efficient sound deadening material). Hybrid stainless steel tub models (stainless steel door liner with plastic tub), also use bitumen.
