Wine Chiller Sides of the Outer Case is Hot to the Touch

The condenser is wrapped around and up against the inside of the case. The outside surface that you can see and feel is actually acting as the condenser to remove heat from the inside. If the compressor is not running the sides may feel cool at times and this can be confusing.

If the Wine Chiller is closed in by cabinets, the heat will not be able to escape and the will affect cooling performance. It cannot be built-in (enclosed on top, sides, back). Required clearances for the Wine Chiller are 1.5" on both sides and 2" on the top and back.
