Wine Chiller Wine is Too Warm or Too Cold
Wine Chiller Wine is Too Warm or Too Cold:
- The optimal temperature of Red Wine is 55 degrees F.
- The optimal temperature for White Wine is 45 degrees F.
The Custom Temperature setting can be used to adjust the cabinet temperature from 40 to 65 degrees F. Please allow 24 hours for the wine to reach the selected temperature. If power has been lost, the Wine Chiller will default to the Red Wine (55 degrees F) setting, which is the factory default setting.
Ambient Temperature Condition
- Cold Temperatures: Do not install the Wine Chiller outside where temperatures will go below 40 degrees F. Too cold of a temperature affects the capability of the refrigerant to pull heat from the cabinet. At 40 degrees F, the unit will not longer have cooling capabilities. Note: It is not recommended that Wine Chillers be used in unheated locations such as garages and porches during periods when the temperature is likely to fall below 40 degrees F.
- Hot Temperatures: Do not install the Wine Chiller outside where temperatures will exceed 90 degrees F. It will not harm the unit to operate under these conditions for extended periods, but you may not be satisfied with the temperatures of some wines.
- Wine Loading: Fully loading an empty Wine Chiller may require 48 hours for the wine to reach the selected temperature. The bottom half of the Wine Chiller is a few degrees colder than the top half. If you are mixing Red and White wines, store the White wine on the lower shelves.
- Installation: An installation with clearances less than those recommended may result in poor performance (warm temperatures and extended run times). Required minimum clearances are 1.5" for each side and 2" for the top and back of the unit. Less than the minimum clearances do not allow for the critical heat transfer from the unit to the outside air.
