Washer and Dryer Communication Cable - Clean Speak

The washer speaks and the dryer listens. The Harmony washer and dryer pair, several Front-Load washer and dryer pairs, and some Top-Load washer and dryer pairs offer technology that allows the washer and dryer to communicate with each other.

 

This feature is called "Clean Speak". The technology allows the washer to communicate with the dryer to preset dry cycles and help save time.

 

• A 4 ft serial communication cable is included with the dryer on Harmony and front load models.

• Top-load models have a 6' communication cable included with the dryer (optional after Sept 2015), part number DR07X10005. The part number is in the Parts & Accessories section of the washer and dryer Owner's Manuals. Download a copy of the Owner's Manual.

 

On top-load models: If the communication cable is missing a similar LAN (Cat 5) cable may be used. We recommend using the supplied cable when possible.
