GE HydroWave Washer with Infusor Technology

The top-load HE Hydrowave washer with Infusor wash technology provides excellent performance while using less water and energy than a traditional top load washer. Some differences will be noticeable during operation.

Identifying a top load HE Hydrowave washer with Infusor technology:

  • Models with the Infusor wash technology will not have the traditional agitator. The Infusor is approximately 7 1/2" high.

The following conditions may occur with the top-load HE Hydrowave washer with Infusor technology:

  • Low water fill: this model washer uses significantly less water. This is completely normal. The Infusor system relies on the friction of the clothes to loosen and lift dirt particles.

  • Zipping sound: The drive system of this washer does not use gears. This is the normal sound of the motor rotating back and forth to clean the clothes.

  • No fill: on models with the "Precise Fill" feature, the lid must be closed for the washer to fill.

  • Water leaking on the floor: this occurs as a result of oversudsing. Use HE detergent only and be sure to use the recommended measured amount.

  • Lower than normal spin speed/wet clothes: this occurs as a result of oversudsing. The use of HE detergent will decrease the chance of suds lock. A suds lock condition will result in wet clothing. Run a drain/spin cycle to remove the excess water in the clothes.

  • Suds on the clothes: this occurs as a result of oversudsing. A suds lock condition may reduce the final spin speed. This could cause suds left on the clothing. Use HE detergent only and be sure to use the recommended measured amount.

  • Detergent on the clothes: add a measured amount of HE detergent to the wash basket. Add fabric softener to the fabric softener dispenser (optional). Add clothing next and close the lid. Select water level, cycle, and then start.

  • Spots on clothing: this could be undiluted fabric softener. Always use the fabric softener dispenser located on the top of the Infusor. Open the "blue cap" on the fabric softener dispenser, add the recommended amount of fabric softener and close the "blue cap" prior to adding clothes. • Clothes too wet at end of cycle:

    • A suds lock condition may have interrupted the spinning action of the washer. Use the recommended amount of HE detergent.

    • The washer may have sensed an out of balance load condition and as result the speed of the final spin was reduced and/or the washer stopped spinning. When this occurs redistribute the clothing and select the drain/spin cycle.

    • The following cycles will have a slower spin speed: Casuals, Delicates, Hand Wash. If the clothing seems too wet when using these particular cycles, run the drain/spin cycle to spin the clothes out at a higher spin speed.

  • "Lid" is showing on the washer display: Remember to close the lid prior to starting the cycle.
