Refrigerator - How to Turn Icemaker On or Off
The icemaker in your refrigerator can be turned on and off. The instructions vary by the type of icemaker and refrigerator style you have. To turn the icemaker on and off:
Feeler Arm: Raise the feeler arm (metal rod) to turn the icemaker off. Lower the feeler arm (metal rod) to turn the icemaker on.
Toggle Switch: Flip the switch down to turn the icemaker off. Flip the switch up to turn the icemaker on. A green light will come on to indicate the icemaker is turned on. This video demonstrates how to turn off your icemaker:
Slide Switch: On and off are labeled. Slide the switch to the right to turn the icemaker off. Slide the switch to the left to turn the icemaker on.
Bottom-Freezer dispenser models with an icemaker: The dispenser has an icemaker off button ("Ice" or "Ice Maker") that must be activated to turn the icemaker off. The dispenser will continue to work if the icemaker is turned off.

For touchscreen LCD controls: Select Settings, tap on Icemaker and follow the screen prompts.

For dual icemaker models: Tapping the Ice or Ice Maker pad (depending on the model) repeatedly will toggle between the icemaker on/off options for the icemaker in the fresh food door (Top icemaker) and the icemaker in the freezer drawer (Bottom icemaker) and will show on the display as: Ice Top On or Off; Ice Bottom On or Off.

For single icemaker models: Tapping the Ice or Ice Maker pad (depending on the model) will turn the icemaker on or off and will display as: Ice On or Off.
