Refrigerator - Easy to Remove Gasket
Many modern refrigerators feature an easy to remove door gasket. The "easy to remove" door gasket simply peels away from the door; no tools are required to remove it.
- Make sure the dart on the back of the gasket is firmly and completely pushed into the door mating groove.
- Make sure the gasket sealing surface is smooth/flat and that this surface seals to the front of the case, all the way around, when the door is closed.

When ordering a replacement gasket, the gasket is folded to fit into the shipping pack and often comes out slightly creased. It is important to follow the instructions on the side of the packaging that explains how to flatten out these creases before installing the gasket.
You can order a replacement gasket from our GE Appliances Parts & Accessories website.
