Washers Not Getting Warm Water

Energy Star washers, with mechanical timers, will not produce warm water with the lid up. The lid has to be closed for warm water to fill the tub.

If you want to check the temperature of the water, you will have to wait until the washing machine's tub is full, then open the lid and check the temperature of the water in the tub.

The temperature ranges for Energy Star and Non-Energy Star washers are below:
