Ice Maker - Cubes Are Watery
With a stand-alone, undercounter ice maker, it is normal for the ice cubes to be watery. This is correct whether the ice is clear ice, nugget ice or cubed ice.
Understanding Why the Cubes Are Watery In a Stand-Alone Ice Maker
The storage bin for the ice is NOT refrigerated. To have the freshest ice possible, cubes are constantly melting in the ice bin as new cubes are being produced. This is normal.
Also, cubes may be wet/watery because water drips from the cutter grid and into the ice bin during the ice harvest cycle. This is due to the process of cutting the ice slab into cubes.
