Ice Maker - Cubes Cloudy

The ice cubes produced by a standalone ice maker are typically clear. Nugget ice is usually a little frosty in appearance but is still fairly clear.

Diagnosing Cloudy Ice Cubes In an Ice Maker

Cloudy ice is usually an indication that there is scale build-up in the ice maker's water or freezing system. Scale occurs from minerals that are naturally present in drinking water. The ice maker may need to be cleaned. Follow the directions in the Owner's Manual for your specific model when cleaning the appliance.

Note: This is a standalone ice maker, not an icemaker in a refrigerator.
