Washer - Secure Drain Hose Properly

Insert the free end of the drain hose (A) into the drain opening in your home. The drain opening in your home may be a standpipe or a wall drain.

  • If the water valves and drain are built into the wall, fasten the drain hose (A) onto one of the water hoses with a cable tie (B) provided with the washer (the ribbed side of the cable tie faces inside).

  • If your drain is a standpipe, fasten the drain hose (A) to the standpipe with a cable tie (B) provided with the washer. If the drain hose facility does not meet the 30” minimum height requirement for a Top Load washer, thread the drain hose through the supplied drain hose clip which is sometimes called an anti-siphon clip (C) and mount it to the cabinet back as shown.
