Washer - Hot and Cold Water Inlets
Washers will either have white water inlet ports or ones that have red and blue inlets. With both types, the inlet ports look like they have plugs in them; however, these are actually part of the inlet design and should not be removed.Identifying Hot and Cold Water Connections
When connecting the inlet hoses to the water shut-off valves and the Washer, make sure you connect the hot and cold water hoses properly. Traditionally, the home hot water shut-off is on the left and is marked red, while the cold water shut-off is typically on the right and is marked blue.- Red and Blue Inlets: Connect the Hot water to the red port and the Cold water to the blue port.
- White Inlets: Facing the back of the Washer, connect the hot water hose to the right port on the washer. Above the inlet will be an "H" or the word Hot. Connect the cold water hose to the left port. Above the inlet will be a "C" or the word Cold.
