Free-Standing Ranges

• Can be placed in a long cabinet run or at the end.
• Finished sides and a backsplash.
• The controls will typically be on the backsplash of the unit.
• Sits on the floor.

 

Slide-in Ranges

• Cooktop overlaps the countertop
  • Models manufactured before 2018 - Overlaps Counter
  •  Most models 2018 and newer - No overlap, but has side and rear trim as an option)
• The sides are not finished and the backsplash is optional
  • Models manufactured before approximately 2016 - Sides not finished
  • Most models 2016 and newer - finished sides
• The controls are located at the front of the unit above the door.
• Sits on the floor.

 

Drop-in Ranges

• The unit is held in place and supported by the countertop.
• The sides are not finished and the backsplash is optional.
• The controls will typically be on the front of the unit.
• Does not sit on the floor.
