Wall Ovens and Ranges - Oven Temperature Limits

When you are setting the oven temperature on any single or double gas, dual fuel, or electric oven, there is a minimum and maximum temperature range for Bake and Broil. On models with a warming or baking drawer, there is also a temperature range for the drawer.

Bake and Convection Bake or Roast Temperatures

  • Most ranges and wall ovens: 170-550 degrees F
    • Some ranges: 170-500 degrees F
  • Ranges with Baking Drawer (Drawer Temp):
    • Warming setting: 140-450 degrees F
    • Baking setting: 170-450 degrees F
  • Ranges with Warming Drawer (Drawer Temp): 140-250 degrees F

Broil

When broiling, it is important to note that the heat is transferred to the food primarily by the broil heater. Eventually, the air temperature in the oven will stabilize, but the actual air temperature is less important than the heat transferred to the food.
  • Hi broil: 500-550 degrees F
  • Low broil: 400-450 degrees F
