Induction Cooktop - Fan

Induction cooktops have a cooling fan as a part of their design. It is normal to hear the fan running when using an Induction cooktop.

Purpose of the Fan In an Induction Cooktop

Our Induction cooktops do have a fan. The fan is automatically turned on when a temperature sensor in the cooktop senses the temperature on the cooktop is increasing. It's designed to protect the electronics in the appliance.

The sensor will also turn on the fan any time the element is put in Power Boost (the High setting), again, to protect the electronics in the cooktop. The fan can stay on after the elements are turned off. It won't turn off until the temperature gets lower.
