Microwave Auto Start Feature
Auto Start gives you "program ahead" convenience. The food can be put in the microwave in the morning and be ready when you come home that night.
On newer models, Auto Start works the following way:
- Touch Auto Start pad.
- Re-enter the time you want the oven to start
- Enter the desired cooking program.
- Touch Start The display will show the time you entered.
- The time of day may be displayed by touching the clock pad. The oven will automatically start at the desired time.
On older microwave models, Auto Start operates this way:
- Enter the desired cooking program, but do not touch the Start/Auto-Start/Reminder feature pad. (Referred to as Delay/Start/Reminder on 1996 models)
- Touch Auto Start pad and enter the time-of-day you wish the program to start.
- Touch Start pad.
- The microwave display will show the starting time until that time of day is reached. Then the microwave's control will "beep" and start the oven. The display will then follow the normal program sequence.
Auto Start Tips:
- The auto start function will not operate with auto cook/sensor features. When a food product is placed in the microwave for some time and is not cooking immediately, moisture accumulates and can cause the auto cook sensor to activate too quickly. This will cause your food not to be cooked properly.
- The Auto Start function can be used with convection time baking on convection microwave models.
