Dishwasher - Leveling Legs
Dishwasher leveling legs keep the dishwasher raised off the floor, and can be adjusted up or down to ensure the dishwasher is level when installed on uneven floors. A dishwasher performs best when properly leveled.
When the dishwasher is delivered and installed...
- When the dishwasher is delivered and removed from the box, there are four leveling legs attached to a wood skid (two on each side). To remove the dishwasher from the skid, the legs need to be removed first.
- Hold onto the legs you removed! They are the leveling legs required for installation of the dishwasher and are re-installed during installation. The dishwasher cannot be used without the leveling legs installed.
- Leg location: There is a space of approximately 0.5" between a standard cabinet opening and the legs.
- For more information about the leveling legs, consult your Installation Instructions. Download a copy of the Installation Instructions.
After the dishwasher is installed...
-
To get an ideal wash, the dishwasher needs to be level. An easy way to see if the dishwasher is level is to open the door and see if one or both of the racks roll out on their own. If the racks roll out, this indicates your dishwasher is angled forward, and needs to be properly leveled.
-
Another way to check the leveling is to take a level and place it on the top rack rail to ensure it is level.
-
If the dishwasher is not level, adjust the 4 leveling legs. To level the dishwasher, use an adjustable wrench and turn the legs clockwise to raise or counter-clockwise to lower the dishwasher on that side.
