Dishwasher - Water Saver Cycle

For lightly soiled dishes, a normal wash is often not needed. Some older dishwasher models offered a Water Saver cycle for use in lieu of a Normal wash cycle.

Using the Water Saver Cycle on a Dishwasher

Some dishwasher models offered a Water Saver cycle. This cycle uses a minimum of 6.4 gallons* of water for the entire cycle. This saves energy and money while still providing clean dishes. This is not a feature on current models.

 

*The water usage can vary from 6.4 to 8.6 gallons. See the Owner's Manual for water usage on specific older models.

 

On models with Normal Wash and Water Saver, the cycles are the same length in time but the Water Saver cycle has less fills to reduce water usage.
