Refrigerator - Locating the Water Line Valve

Refrigerators with icemakers and water dispensers require a cold water line connection. The water supply line is connected to the refrigerator at the back. The connection is made onto the water line valve or the connection at the end of the tubing located outside the compressor compartment access cover.

Locating the Water Line Valve on a Refrigerator

The water valve on most refrigerators is near the bottom of the back of the refrigerator. Some models have the valve on the right when viewing the refrigerator from the back, and some models have the valve on the left when viewing the refrigerator from the back.
