Dishwasher Water Heat-On/Heat-Off on RCA Models

Water Heat-On and Water Heat-Off was a feature on some older RCA dishwashers.

The Water Heat-On feature extended the wash cycle 9 minutes while the dishwasher automatically heated the water for superior washing and drying. This option was selected when the temperature of the water entering the dishwasher was below 140 degrees Fahrenheit.

The Water Heat-Off option was used when the temperature of the water entering the dishwasher was 140 degrees Fahrenheit or higher.

It is necessary to use one of these options at all times.
