Upright & Chest Freezer - Vacation Settings

To maintain freezer operation during vacations, be sure that the power to the freezer is not turned off. Leave the freezer at its normal setting.

 

If the power to the house is to be turned off:

1. Remove the food. Turn the control to "off."

2. Disconnect the power cord plug from the wall receptacle.

3. Defrost the freezer and wipe the interior dry.

To prevent the formation of odors, place an open box of baking soda in the freezer and leave the freezer lid or door open.
