Upright & Chest Freezer - Proper Cleaning
The interior of your upright or chest freezer should be cleaned at least once a year.
Before cleaning the freezer interior, it is recommended that the freezer be unplugged. If this is not practical, turn the temperature control to OFF and wring any excess moisture out of a sponge or cloth before cleaning in the vicinity of switches, lights or controls.
To clean the interior of the freezer, use a warm water and baking soda solution (one tablespoon of baking soda to a quart of water). Rinse thoroughly with water and wipe dry. Follow this same procedure for cleaning the door gasket and all plastic parts.
Do not use abrasive cleaners.
