Microwave Problem With Temperature Probe
If the oven shuts off too soon or not soon enough when using the probe, this can be due to many reasons:
- The probe may not be inserted into the food correctly; the tip is not in the center of the food or the probe's tip is touching the bone or fat. Re-insert the probe according to the cooking guide.
- The probe is not plugged in firmly into the socket in the microwave wall.
- You may have an incorrect "cook" setting.
- You may have set the probe's temperature incorrectly.
- The probe must be used with the proper foods. Do not use it with dense casseroles, meatloaf, solidly frozen food, very thin foods that can't accommodate at least 1/3 of the probe, or anything designed for a browning dish.
