Water Softener - Household Sizing Guide
To get the most effective and efficient use from your water softener, it is important to size the softener correctly for your specific household use. These are our recommendations for choosing the correct softener size.
Properly Sizing a Water Softener
Our sizing suggestions are based on the following criteria.
- Average daily usage of 80 gallons per person per day. You can check your own water usage by reviewing the water usage provided with your water bill.
- 80% softener capacity, allowing a margin for excessive water usage.
- Regeneration occurring every 5 days.
