Microwave Sensor Cooking

The sensor cooking pads make cooking easy. The sensor cooking pads generally consist some or all the below:

  • CANNED VEGETABLES
  • FROZEN VEGETABLES
  • FRESH VEGETABLES
  • POTATOES
  • FISH
  • CHICKEN PIECES
  • MEAT

When one of these pads is selected, the oven will automatically cook the specific food at a pre-programmed power level that determines the proper amount of cooking time by sensing the steam that escapes as the food cooks. This feature automatically adjusts the cooking time to various types and amounts of food.

To operate:

  1. Place the food into the microwave. Make sure to cover the food with a lid or vented plastic wrap.
  2. Touch the DESIRED FOOD PAD and the oven will start immediately. There is no need to touch START. The name of the selected food pad appears on the display, and the sensor is activated to sense steam from the food.

Note: Using the metal shelf is not recommended for sensor cooking. It may cause the humidity sensor to be inaccurate.

Preference Control: The cooking times for some sensor pads can be changed. The REHEAT, POTATOES, FRESH VEGETABLES, MEAT, FISH FILLETS and CHICKEN PIECES pads may be changed for personal taste. However, CANNED and FROZEN VEGETABLES may not be changed.

By touching 1 after touching any of the changeable sensor pads, the oven can be set to cook for 10% less time than that sensor feature would regularly provide. For example, if the fresh vegetables were not crisp enough, touch the FRESH VEGETABLE pad and 1 to reduce the cooking time by 10% the next time it is used.

By touching 9 after touching any of the changeable sensor pads, the oven may be set to increase the cooking time by 10% more than that sensor feature would regularly provide.
