Air Conditioners Reverse Cycle Heat Pump Benefit

Room air conditioners that contain a reverse cycle heat pump cool like a regular air conditioner during the summer months. During winter months, these models reverse the flow of refrigerant and produce heat. This process is usually a more efficient means of heating, and this type of pump is most useful when frequent heating is needed. When outdoor temperatures drop below 35 degrees Fahrenheit, the system will switch to resistance heaters in order to maintain the proper indoor temperature.

Note: When the system turns on, the air will be cool until the system equalizes the air pressure.
