Dishwasher Steam During Operation

You may see water vapor (or steam) coming out of the vent near the door latch and/or appearing on surrounding surfaces such as the counter and door during the dishwasher operation.  This vapor, although warm, is not dangerous and is normal. The vent will be visible either be on the upper left or right corner of the door. If there is not a visible vent on the outside of the door, it has a vent on the interior of the door (Hidden Vent/ActiVent). You should not see steam on these models.
