Dishwasher Stuck Spray Tower

Some dishwashers have a telescopic spray tower to provide an additional level of cleaning. The tubular-shaped power tower is attached to the center of the main wash arm in the bottom of the dishwasher, and it rotates with the arm. Water pressure causes the power tower to telescope upward above the dishes in the lower rack, thus providing a spray wash from the middle of the tub out of the multi-hole tower. Occasionally this tower can stick due to food particles collecting in this area, causing interference.

To correct: Tap the tower (spray arm) with your hand and it should go back down.

If the tower gets stuck frequently, service may be needed. For service, please schedule an appointment with Bodewell.
