Dishwasher - Dry Cycle Operation
The dishwasher dries the dishes by natural convection airflow if a heating option is not selected. The following tips are important to consider when using your dishwasher.
Getting the Best Drying Results From a Dishwasher
- Check to make sure the water coming into the dishwasher is 120 degrees Fahrenheit or higher.
- Use a rinse agent. A rinse agent will accelerate the drying process. Rinse aids help keep water from forming droplets that will dry into spots on the dishes. Check the level of the rinse agent tank periodically and refill as necessary.
- Use the Heated Dry Option. Using heated dry will turn on the heating element in the dishwasher. This will speed up the drying process although it will increase the overall length of the cycle.
Keep in mind that plastic dishes do not dry well in a dishwasher. The dishwasher will also not dry puddles of water that collect in the bottom of a glass or cup.
