Rubber Material Around Dishwasher Door

The rubber-like material that runs along the inside perimeter of the door is called a gasket. The gasket runs down both sides and tucks in at the bottom of the door. There is a gap at the bottom of the door where the gasket does not meet. This is the normal design of the door gasket to allow for proper air venting.
