Advantium Reasons Why the Top of Food May be Undercooked

Cooking results may vary, even with the pre-programmed recipes, due to differences in food composition and size. As a result the cooking cycle may need to be adjusted by the user (U- L-M). In this case, the Upper lamp (U) power level may need to be increased.

Here are some suggestions for achieving the best cooking performance:

  • Verify that the food has been completely defrosted (if necessary) before cooking.
  • Verify that the serving size is correct for the recipe selected.
  • Make sure that the Upper Lamp cover is clean. A dirty cover will inhibit the light from passing through to the food.
  • Remove the cover from the food if one is being used.
  • It may be necessary to turn the food over during the cooking cycle.
  • Placement of the food on the metal tray is important. See the Cookware Tips section at Advantium Speedcook Oven Recipes & Cooking Tips
  • If possible, move the food closer to the center of the tray. The center of the tray receives more light than the outer edges.
