Explanation of When Coil Surface Burners Will Glow

The Calrod® surface units will "glow" when they are set to high heat with no utensils placed on them. When utensils are placed on the units, the utensils will absorb the heat so there could be no visible glow. If the utensil is smaller than the surface unit, then the rings of the Calrod® that are exposed will glow red.
