Range Gourmet Shelf
The Gourmet Shelf was a type of oven shelf first offered in October 1998 on 27" and 30" Profile Performance Series wall ovens. It featured "baking stones" as part of the actual rack. It provided delicate texture and uniform browning while baking. It is not available on current models.
About the Gourmet Shelf:
- Includes 2 baking stones
- Recessed rack holds the stones together.
- Ideal for breads, pizzas, etc with crispy crusts.
- Used with convection or conventional baking.
- Stones can be removed and rack used for other baking/roasting needs.
- Stones are porous ceramic material and they will accumulate stains with use.
To clean:
- Wait until the stone is cool, then scrape as much soil as possible and rinse well with warm water.
- Do not wash with soap, detergents or in the dishwasher.
- Do not place the hot stone in water and make sure the stone is completely dry before baking with it.
The gourmet rack is interchangeable with oven racks in other model wall ovens of the same size and time period. The gourmet shelf can also be used as a roasting rack in some models.
