Gas Range Benefit and Care of Chrome Burner Bowls

Chrome burner bowls add a touch of elegance to a gas range or cooktop. They are designed not only to be attractive, but also to catch minor boil-overs and make cleaning the range easier.

Cleaning instructions:

1. Remove the grates and lift out the chrome bowls.
2. Wash the burner bowls in hot soapy water. Rinse with clean, hot water.
3. Polish with a soft cloth.

For heavy soils:

• Soak the bowls for 20 minutes in a slightly diluted liquid cleaner or a mild solution of ammonia and water (1/2 cup ammonia to one gallon of water).
• Wash the burner bowls in hot soapy water.
• Rinse and polish with a soft cloth.

Note: Never use abrasive cleaners or steel wool. They will scratch the surface. Do not attempt to clean the chrome burner bowls in a self-cleaning oven. They will warp and discolor.
