Cooking a Turkey in a Traditional Oven
Use the following guidelines when cooking a turkey in a conventional (traditional) oven. These do not apply to convection ovens.

Tips
- Stuffed birds generally require 30-45 minutes additional roasting time.
- Shield the legs and breast with foil to prevent over browning and drying of the skin.
- When using the temperature probe for roasting, place the probe in the thigh of the bird.
