Most ranges and cooktops have removable control knobs, making them easy to clean and maintain.
Tips to Keep Your Knobs Looking Like New
- Avoid using excessively large pots and pans, especially near your knobs.
- Don’t place hot pans on or too close to the knobs.
- After cleaning your cooktop, make sure the burner caps are placed back in the correct position.
How to Clean Your Knobs
- Pull the removable knobs straight off and wash them gently with mild soap and water . Do not soak them.
- Wash them with mild soap and water. Do not soak them.
- Dry the knobs completely.
- Place them back on the range, making sure the flat side inside the knob lines up with the shaft.
Note: Some models have cardboard pieces behind the knobs. These act as splash guards and should not be removed.
