Electric Range & Cooktop - Replacing Plug-In Surface Burner

To Replace a Plug-In Coil Surface Element:

  1. Make sure all surface element (burner) switches are in the off position and the burner is completely cool.

  2. Place the drip pan/reflector pan into the burner recess opening in the cooktop so the burner receptacle can be seen through the opening in the drip pan/reflector pan.

  3. Insert the terminals of the plug-in burner through the opening in the drip pan/reflector pan and then into the receptacle.

  4. Guide the plug-in burner into place so it fits evenly in the recessed area.
