Dishwasher Sensing Light Stays On, Sensing Light Operation

The Sensing LED (on some dishwashers) is illuminated during all pre-washes and also during the main wash for all cycles. This includes cycles like Rinse Only that do not take advantage of the soil information provided to the control by the turbidity (dirt) sensor.

If you notice the LED is illuminated during the Rinse Only cycle or some other cycle that is not soil dependent, this is normal operation.
