Lift Off Oven Door

Most ovens and ranges have a lift-off oven door. The door lifts off easily for better access to oven for minor repairs or for cleaning, especially on standard clean ranges. The door is usually removed by placing the door in the broil position (stop position at about 2-3" open), where you feel the hinge catch slightly. You then grasp the door at the sides and lift the door straight up and away from the hinges. Older models that require the removal of screws before the door can be removed.

To replace:

  • Grasp door at sides, line up the door with the hinges and push the door firmly into place.

Note:

  • Oven doors are not available as a single part. Individual pieces would need to be replace if the door is broken.
